Business man found with extreme pornography and indecent images of children spared jail
A KENDAL businessman found with extreme pornography and hundreds of indecent images of children in his possession has escaped a prison sentence.
Roger Crowther, 55, pleaded guilty to a total of 16 offences which were committed during a six-year period up to 2012.
He admitted four charges of possessing extreme pornographic images and also 12 counts of making indecent still and moving images of children.
Scores of still and moving images recovered by police from his home were classed as category A – the most serious type.
Crowther, of Rusland Park, was sentenced today (FRI) at Carlisle Crown Court.
He was given a three-year supervision order and a four-month night time curfew. He must sign the sex offenders’ register for five years and abide by the strict terms of a sexual harm prevention order.
